AMEX GBT is working directly with airlines and partners to support impacted travelers and identify viable return options. If airspace closures are lifted and airlines announce reopening, please note that it can take 24-48 hours before meaningful flight activity resumes.

For upcoming travel to or through the region

• We recommend reviewing relevant government guidance before departure.

• If you have a booking with a connecting flight in the Gulf Region (e.g. Doha, Dubai), please change your connection through another hub, such as Cairo, Istanbul or London. 

• If you are currently in the region or due to depart within the next 72 hours, we recommend reviewing itineraries and contacting the AMEX GBT servicing teams for assistance if needed.

• Please ensure you have the Global Monitoring App installed and to activate the location tracking functions

Travelers needing assistance travelling outside of the impacted region

• For non-urgent travel needs (new and existing) we strongly recommend that you utilize your online booking tool and self-service wherever possible to proactively manage bookings. Please continue to take this approach through this week.
